Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship ready to go in Peace River
For Immediate Release

Peace River - Peace River Minor Hockey, and the Peace River Mustangs, are proud to host the 2019
Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, presented by ATB Financial, for the Atom A division.

The tournament starts on Thursday, March 14 and continues through Sunday, March 17. Games will be
played at the Baytex Energy Centre, located at 9810 - 73 Avenue in Peace River. Admission is free.

Eight teams will be participating at the Provincial Championship, including the host Peace River Atom A
Mustangs. The teams will be vying for a spot in the gold medal final on Sunday afternoon, and a chance
to win the provincial crown.

Pool play begins on March 14, and continues through March 16. The top two teams from each division
qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held Sunday morning.
The host Peace River Mustangs plays the following schedule of round-robin games:

? Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 PM versus the Okotoks Oilers
? Friday, March 15 at 2:00 PM versus the Edson Sabres
? Saturday, March 16 at 1:30 PM versus the Strathcona Warriors

Local fans are encouraged to come out and see some the best Atom-aged players in the province
competing at the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, presented, by ATB Financial.

The Atom A Provincial Championships are being proudly supported by a number of local sponsors,
including gold level sponsorship from: Mercer Peace River Pulp, WSP Canada, Go Auto Peace River, FTEN
Group of Companies, Helix Engineering, and the Town of Peace River.

The full schedule of games and updated results throughout the weekend for the Atom A Provincial

on the site throughout the tournament, and also will be available on the live website ticker.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, March 15 at 1:00 PM at the Baytex Energy Centre.
Admission is free for the entirety of the event.

Note to the all minor hockey parents/kids: Attendance at the opening ceremonies on Friday March 15
at 1:00 PM is encouraged, the Peace River Mustangs play immediately following at 2:00 PM.
